FAQs

Infrared Sauna

What is the difference between an infrared sauna and a traditional sauna?

Infrared saunas use a much milder temperature of between 120 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat of the infrared sauna travels much deeper into the body of a traditional sauna, which enables the individuals to sweat more and heat the body more efficiently.

What is the minimum age to enter a Infrared Sauna?

Salty Spa requires the individual to be at least 12 years of age to enter the sauna

What should I expect on my visit to the Infrared Sauna?

Salty Spa has a private room which will be equipped with a four-person Infrared Sauna. Towels will be provided to everyone. The person may wish to bring a bathing suit for the treatment. It is not recommended to take a shower for a minimum of 30 minutes after the infrared sauna to maximize the benefits of the detoxification process.

Is the Infrared Sauna Safe?

Yes. Exposure to infrared heat is safe and will not cause any skin burn

How long do you recommend staying in the Infrared Sauna

Salty Spa offers 15-minute sessions and 30-40-minute sessions. The longer a person stays in the sauna the more sweat and toxins depleted from the body will take place

Will I be paired with strangers in the sauna?

No. Salty Spa respects people’s privacy so once a person schedules a session that person will have the sauna to themselves. We recommend booking with family and friends as the sauna holds up to four adults comfortably.

Ionic Foot Detox

An ionic detox foot bath is a natural method of assisting the body in eliminating harmful toxins, heavy metals, and other harmful foreign matter.

This is a safe therapy for anyone over the age of 10 years, except for those who are pregnant or currently nursing, wear a pacemaker or have seizures. This is suggested therapy for people who have accumulated many stored toxins and are not able to get rid of them efficiently, due to overworked liver, spleen, and kidney functions. This is especially recommended therapy for those who take a lot of medications. The ionic detox foot bath does not eliminate beneficial medications from the body.

What is a detox foot bath session like?

During a session the client sits in a comfortable chair. Most individuals find the experience VERY relaxing and it is not unusual for the client to fall asleep. The session takes about 30 minutes. Some people may experience a slight tickling or tingling sensation from the ionic detox foot bath.

How many detox foot baths will I need?

It is suggested that you begin with a total of 6 sessions over a 3–5 week period to maximize detoxification.

What to Expect from a Session

A typical session will begin with clear water and end with colorful water containing particles. The water will change color even if there are no feet in the tub. This change is a result of the interaction between the toxins and particles already in the water, the added salt, and the array of metals. As a general rule, regional toxins contribute 20-40% of the residues found in the water after the foot bath. We have found that a person’s purification session will override the geographical toxicity of the water. Based on EAV (Electro-acupuncture According to Voll) testing, the following table shows what we believe the colors in the water to represent:
